Fall is my absolute favorite season! I love the crisp, cool air and the beautiful, vibrant colors of the leaves. I especially love the reds and oranges so I decided to search flickr for some lovely fall fotos :) It took me some time to find a picture that I liked that had the "Blog Now" option...many are from private galleries.

Note to self, flickr=yahoo application, blogger=google application...it finally sunk in, but only after words of encouragement from my Resourceress.

Week #2, Thing #4

Registering my blog...no problem :) Emailed Resourceress and Towncat!

Week #2, Thing #3

I finally set-up my own blog using Blogger!!! When I first went to www.blogger.com it was in what I am assuming was Japanese. I selected English in the "Language" drop-down menu, however, it would not change. I went to ask Air Wiggins for help and when I signed on from a computer in the Writing Lab it was in English...then when I came back to my computer I was able to select English in the "Language" drop-down. Not certain what happened there...most likely user error :)

Naming my blog also proved to be most difficult...the creative juices just weren't flowing. Decided to go with a name incorporating STARS since that is the club I sponsor.

Creating the Avatar was fun, but, like FarnDawg mentions on her blog, the instructions forget to mention that you have to click on ADD GADGETS to get to the other screens they mention. I loved being able to add my baby and dog to my avatar...told my hubby the only thing missing is him...guess he has to get his own avatar :)

Week #1, Thing #2

Habit 7 "Teach/mentor others" is probably the easiest for me. I enjoy being able to share what I have learned with others. As mentioned in the 7 & 1/2 Habits Online Tutorial, teaching others not only reinforces your learning but is a great way to give back to the community.

Habit 6 "Use technology to your advantage" is the most difficult for me. I find that I am often uncertain where to go on the internet to find the information that I need, and when I do find it I am very leery of it. Hopefully working through the 23 things will help me gain confidence in using technology to my advantage.

Week #1, Thing #1

I am finally able to add my first post!!! Read all about the program and it has definitely sparked my interest. Am very excited to get started on my 23 things!!!
